Our Story

    The journey to homeschool rowing began in August 2003 when the late Matt Hopkins founded Mohawk Homeschool Rowing Association (MHRA). Over the last 11 years, Mohawk has trained Christian homeschoolers to excel both on and off the water.  Through changes in locations and leadership, our team has stayed strong, welcoming, and committed to our goal to foster leadership in faith, sports, and academics.

 

   Our rowers have received awards in countless races from middle school all the way through high school, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to preparing the athletes for post-graduation sucess.
